VERKLINE WAS-301 Rear Lightweight Tubular Subframe Kit for NISSAN GT-R (R35)

The tubular lightweight rear subframe allows you to remove the transmission without having to remove the subframe from the vehicle.

A weight reduction of almost 50% compared to the 66.35 lbs (30.10 kg) that the OEM rear subframe weighs.

The rear lightweight tubular subframe is based on a 3D scan of the OEM subframe, fully CAD designed, FEM tested, made from T45 tubing (full name: BS4 T45 - BS5T100 / BS6S100 ).

The crossbar is fully hand TIG welded to ensure absolute quality control with a special Lincoln Electric tig wire that matches the tensile and flow properties of the pipe. The removable middle connector is made of 7075 aircraft aluminum and anodized.

You can remove the transmission from the vehicle without removing the subframe. The Boost Logic Solid Transmission Mount Kit is required for this feature to work.

Important information

T45 tubing is a unique seamless carbon steel pipe that is used in many industries. It is stronger than Co-Mo 4130 (chromoly) pipe, which is also used in motorsports. T45 is widely used in the aerospace sector in equipment such as pilot and crew seats, due to the material's ability to withstand high G forces without seizing or splitting. This material has a carbon-manganese base and meets all aerospace specifications set by British Standards.

Properties for T45 are as follows:

• Tensile: 700 - 900 MPa, 0.2% yield 620 MPa minimum
• Hardness test: 201min - 262 max HB or 210min - 275max HV.

S355 metal sheets are also used in the subframe.

The size of the subframe is 1412 x 886 x 295 mm (length x width x height).
