OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutches are primarily designed applications such Pro Touring and Track Day cars that are regularly driver at racetrack events and driven occasionally on the street. They offer a good compromise between larger diameter/heavier (10.5”/11”) OEM-type clutches and smaller diameter/lighter 7.25” racing clutches. Compared to the equivalent number of disc 7.25” clutch, OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutches provide approximately 50% more mass for increased heat capacity to keep overall clutch temperatures down, while providing higher torque capacity and better modulation. OT-215 8.5” Cerametallic Clutches feature riveted friction buttons onto a heat-treated steel core plate. This type of disc, compared to discs with sintered friction material*, better resists core plate cracking that can be caused by engine/transmission misalignment issues and/or engine harmonics.
