The Radium Engineering fuel pump hanger is designed to support one or two aftermarket fuel pumps within the OEM fuel tank of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7, 8, or 9. Precision-machined for direct drop-in installation, it replaces the factory hold-down flange while offering enhanced performance and plumbing simplicity. Featuring integrated 8AN and 6AN male ports, the hanger supports both aftermarket -AN hoses and OEM fuel lines via preassembled adapters. Stainless steel electrical studs manage high current demands effectively, while ETFE-insulated in-tank wiring ensures long-term chemical resistance. The low-profile assembly tucks beneath the stock cover plate and includes non-conductive acorn nuts to prevent short circuits. All essential electrical components for fuel pump(s) and factory level sender are included.
Unlike the restrictive OEM hanger, which includes a narrow return port and inefficient jet pump, this design incorporates a high-flow venturi jet pump with an integrated pressure-relief valve to minimize backpressure and regulate fuel rail pressure. Return fuel from both the regulator and crossover hose is directed through the jet pump, maintaining a full baffle to prevent fuel starvation. Single pump setups may reuse OEM wiring, but high-current applications benefit from upgraded wiring harnesses. External 10-micron or finer fuel filtration is strongly recommended, as the OEM in-tank filter is eliminated.
