The Mishimoto racing thermostat for Subaru WRX 2001-2014 and STI 2001-2021 is designed to promote greater cooling efficiency throughout the engine. This thermostat significantly lowers high engine temperatures produced by modified and upgraded turbo applications.

Once the engine is fully warmed up, the Mishimoto racing thermostat opens at a lower temperature than standard thermostats. This allows coolant to flow through the engine sooner, reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures.
