This Mishimoto racing thermostat is designed for the 2001-2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 7/8/9 and promotes greater cooling efficiency throughout the engine. It significantly lowers high engine temperatures produced by modified and upgraded turbo applications. Once the engine is fully warmed up, the thermostat opens at a lower temperature than standard thermostats, allowing coolant to flow through the engine sooner and helping to maintain cooler engine temperatures.
