The Mishimoto racing thermostat is designed to promote greater cooling efficiency throughout the engine. It significantly lowers high engine temperatures produced by modified and upgraded turbo applications.

Once the engine is fully warmed up, the Mishimoto racing thermostat opens at a lower temperature (68°C) than standard thermostats (82°C), allowing coolant to flow through the engine sooner and helping to reduce and maintain cooler engine temperatures.
