Description MISHIMOTO MMTMIC-WRX-22BK Top-Mount Intercooler, Black for SUBARU WRX 2022
The Mishimoto performance top-mount intercooler is designed to enhance the capabilities of the 2022+ Subaru WRX. This intercooler allows the FA24 engine to benefit from increased airflow and improved cooling efficiency.
The kit features a significantly upgraded top-mount intercooler and shroud, replacing the original plastic end tank intercooler with cast-aluminum end tanks and a high-flow core that is 88 percent larger than stock. The increased core volume provides over 40 percent better flow than the factory unit, reducing strain on the turbo and enabling greater cold air delivery to the engine. The core also features 76 percent more fin surface area for improved heat transfer, maintaining outlet temperatures within 10 degrees of ambient. The enlarged shroud exposes the entire core to fresh air from the WRX's hood scoop, and a pre-drilled, tapped, and plugged 1/8-NPT port allows for easy addition of temperature or boost pressure sensors.
Installation Notes: Upon removal of factory intercooler, inspect the OEM inlet gasket and replace with Subaru part number 21896AA150 if any areas appear damaged or warped.
