A top-mount intercooler upgrade is an effective way to provide a flat-four engine with a cooler charge of air. A cooler, denser air charge can allow for more aggressive tuning and increased power. The Mishimoto Subaru WRX and STI TMIC Kit offers a unique solution for upgrading the charge air system.

This top-mount intercooler kit features a single entry inlet, replacing the stock Y-pipe setup. The tank design maximizes airflow and improves air dispersion through the core, resulting in optimal air intake temperature reduction. The high-efficiency bar-and-plate core increases volume and enhances heat transfer. The kit is fully bolt-on and requires no modifications to the vehicle.

The intercooler kit includes silicone bypass hoses for both WRX and STI, a silicone crankcase ventilation hose, a bypass valve gasket, a silicone throttle body hose, and all necessary T-bolt clamps and hardware for installation. Testing on both stock and modified vehicles has shown increased power and reduced air intake temperatures. On a 305 hp test vehicle running 20-22 psi of boost, this intercooler provided a 14 hp increase and a 30°F drop in air intake temperatures compared to the stock STI TMIC. The core construction supports vehicles with up to 350 hp. The kit is available with either a Stealth Black or Sleek Silver cooler and includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Note: This kit is rated for approximately 350 whp, or 25 PSI of turbo boost. Exceeding these horsepower or pressure limits may require a larger front-mount intercooler.

Note: This intercooler kit will not fit RHD vehicles.
