An efficient cooling system is essential for extending the life of the Subaru flat-four engine, whether the vehicle is daily driven or used in rallycross. The stock radiator's plastic end tanks are susceptible to cracking due to constant temperature changes, which can lead to overheating, head gasket failure, and engine damage.

The Mishimoto Performance Radiator is engineered for the 2001-2007 Subaru WRX and STI to address this weak point. It features an all-aluminum construction for increased heat and pressure tolerance, improved heat dissipation, and enhanced cooling efficiency. The 100% brazed aluminum core and TIG-welded end tanks offer optimal durability and reliable service. This radiator is a direct bolt-in replacement for the factory unit, requiring no modifications.

The radiator includes a high-pressure 1.3 bar cap to raise the coolant boiling point and a second cap for the expansion tank. It also provides a significant increase in coolant capacity, supporting aggressive driving while maintaining safe temperatures. The Mishimoto Subaru WRX and STI Performance Aluminum Radiator is covered by the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Caution: The provided Mishimoto two-way cap (six-sided design) should replace the stock cap located on the expansion tank. The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator should utilize the included one-way cap (circular design with non-directional sticker).

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
