Maintaining optimal coolant temperatures is crucial for protecting the EJ engine in the Subaru WRX and STI, especially during spirited driving or track use. The factory radiator's plastic end tanks and limited cooling capacity can become a weak point under high demand, potentially leading to overheating, head gasket issues, and costly repairs.

The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator for the 2008–2014 Subaru WRX and 2008–2021 Subaru STI offers improved cooling efficiency and durability compared to the stock unit. Featuring a lightweight, dual-core design and 100% brazed aluminum construction, this radiator maximizes heat dissipation and withstands higher pressures. TIG-welded, polished end tanks provide added strength and a premium finish, while the direct-fit design allows for straightforward installation without cutting or modification. The included high-pressure 1.3 bar radiator cap increases the coolant boiling point for added safety under heavy loads, and a second cap is provided for the expansion tank. This radiator delivers up to a 30% increase in cooling efficiency over the factory unit and is suitable for daily driving, spirited runs, or competitive use.

Caution: The provided Mishimoto two-way cap (six-sided design) should replace the stock cap located on the expansion tank. The Mishimoto Performance Aluminum Radiator should utilize the included one-way cap (circular design with non-directional sticker).

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to ensure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
