High oil temperatures can cause significant issues for high-performance flat four engines. The Mishimoto direct-fit oil cooler kit is designed specifically for the 2008-2014 Subaru WRX to help protect the engine.

The WRX features a turbocharged engine and all-wheel drive, but does not come with a factory oil cooler. Proper oil temperature regulation is especially important for modified or track-driven vehicles. This direct-fit oil cooler is engineered to lower oil temperatures and extend engine life.

The kit includes a large 19-row cooler mounted in the front bumper with application-specific brackets for optimal airflow and cooling. The CNC-machined aluminum spacer allows compatibility with factory exhaust manifold heat shields. Preassembled stainless steel lines with -10AN fittings and thermal reflective wrap are included to deflect radiant heat from the exhaust. This setup can achieve a 50+°F (34+°C) drop in oil temperatures with minimal pressure loss. The kit is available with a Sleek Silver or Stealth Black cooler and a choice of Mishimoto Oil Sandwich Plate or Thermostatic Oil Sandwich Plate for greater control over oil temperatures.

Installation Notes: Recommended torque specification for all straight fittings and banjo bolts: 15-25 lb-ft. Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 ft-lb.

Caution: It is the installer's responsibility to check all thermostat plugs, NPT plugs, line fittings, and other connections to assure they are fully tightened before operating the vehicle. Mishimoto recommends checking all connections at regular intervals, especially during the first few miles after installation.
