Keep charged air temperatures low in turbocharged Civic models with the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Performance Intercooler Kit from Mishimoto. Honda’s tenth-generation Civic, equipped with the L15B7 engine, features advanced Earth Dreams technology but still faces heat issues common to forced induction systems. The stock intercooler uses tube-and-fin construction with plastic end tanks, which can lead to higher temperatures.

The Mishimoto intercooler is designed for Honda enthusiasts and addresses the high charged air temperatures found in the stock unit. Its all-aluminum, bar-and-plate construction resists heat generated during air compression. The intercooler increases volume by 102% and fin surface area by 97%, resulting in a 20°F drop in outlet air temperatures over stock, and up to 42°F with a performance tune.

This direct-fit kit also upgrades the stock intercooler piping, replacing the original plastic and rubber with mandrel-bent aluminum and 5-layer, fiber-embedded silicone couplers. Piping diameter increases from 42 mm to 55 mm, a 30% size increase, and reduced bend angles improve airflow. The kit provides up to 4 whp and 8 ft-lbs of torque gains on stock tuning, with potential increases to 11 whp and 9 ft-lbs of torque with a tune. The intercooler is available in silver or black, with wrinkle black or Rallye Red piping options. The kit includes the Mishimoto Lifetime Warranty.

Installation Notes: 27 in-lbs (3NM) recommended for all T-bolt and constant-tension T-bolt clamps. These clamps have an operating range of 18-35 in-lbs (2-4NM). Do not exceed the maximum torque rating of 35 in-lbs (4NM).
