4G63 Engine: Resource Restoration and Reinforcement

Early versions of the 4G63 have immense potential but eventually require attention to critical components. For 400+ HP projects on AI-100 fuel, we offer a proven set of components:

  • Rotating Assembly Reinforcement (Manley & ARP): Manley H-Beam forged rods and ARP head studs are the minimum safety standard. This prevents known issues with factory metal "fatigue" under increased boost pressure.
  • ACL Race Bearings: For every engine rebuild, we recommend installing ACL tri-metal bearings. They offer superior resistance to cavitation and high RPMs, which is vital for preserving the crankshaft.

Why is it important to use ARP studs on older 4G63 engines?
Factory bolts lose their properties over time (metal fatigue). When boost is increased, they stretch, leading to head gasket failure. ARP studs resolve this issue permanently.

Can I install brakes from newer Evos on the 4-6 generation?
