This ATOMIC-SHOP Toyota GR Yaris Gen1, built in our Dubai facility, is very much in that last category.
This is not a GR Yaris built for dyno-sheet bragging or social media posturing. It is built for the moment a chassis loads up properly in a fast corner and the steering provides total clarity. You can go full throttle on the exit knowing the car will react exactly as intended.
That is the whole point.
The Philosophy of Repeatability
Modern performance cars are too often lost in marketing noise—endless horsepower debates, oversized screens, and digital distractions where tactile controls should be. A real driver’s car is different. It is not about headline drama; it is about repeatability, honesty, and feel. It is about whether the machine maintains its composure on lap four as well as it did on lap one. At ATOMIC-SHOP, we understand this balance perfectly, and it is the core of this project.
A Coherent Strategy: Power and Cooling
The power and cooling package we’ve engineered is a serious bit of kit. We have integrated the HKS SUPER TURBO MATTE EDITION exhaust system, the HKS Metal Catalyzer, HKS Cold Air Intake Full Kit, HKS SUPER SQV4 blow-off valves with the return kit, an upgraded HKS intercooler, the HKS Oil Cooler Kit S Type, and an EcuTek ECU tune to tie the lot together. This is not a random collection of parts; it is a coherent performance strategy.
The exhaust and metal catalyst allow the turbo three-cylinder to breathe freely without excessive noise. The intake improves airflow, feeding the engine cooler, cleaner air. Crucially, the upgraded cooling system ensures that even under heavy track loads or high temperatures, the car never loses its edge. We tuned this Yaris for usable punch, sharp response, and consistency. It is not shouting for attention; it is simply performing at the highest level.
Chassis Dynamics: Singing Through the Corners
The chassis is where this build really starts to sing. The HKS HIPERMAX R coilover kit provides the GR Yaris with the body control it deserves. It tightens the platform and sharpens response, allowing the chassis to communicate with the road rather than skittering across it. The car becomes more disciplined and focused without sacrificing the thrill of the drive.
By adding CUSCO strut bars and CUSCO sway bars, we’ve achieved a cleaner front-end bite and tidier direction changes. On turn-in, the car responds immediately; mid-corner, it feels flat and trustworthy; and on exit, it allows you to lean on the power with total confidence. When a chassis is this well-sorted, every input feels precise, intentional, and rewarding.
Unsprung Intent: Wheels, Tyres, and Aero
The wheel and tyre setup is a deliberate choice: RAYS G2 wheels in 18x9 ET35 paired with MICHELIN Cup 2 tyres. This combination offers the steering precision and sidewall control required for serious performance. Weight is just a statistic until you feel a car change direction cleanly at speed—then, it becomes pure emotion.
Visually, we’ve enhanced the car’s presence without being over-the-top. The HKS Aero Body Kit Carbon TYPE-S adds stability and purpose at speed. The CUSCO tow hook is another functional touch—simple, effective, and right for a car that is built to be driven hard.
Under the bonnet, we installed the HKS carbon engine cover and HKS carbon fuse box cover. While these don't improve lap times, a professional build is about more than just speed. Details matter. When you open the bonnet, you should see a project that was finished to the highest standard.
The Cockpit: From Competent to Purposeful
Inside, we transformed the cabin into a focused workstation. The RECARO Pole Position (ABE) Black Velour seats, paired with RECARO double-locking slide runners and ARD seat bases, are exactly what this car needs. A proper fixed-back seat changes the experience—you stop fighting G-forces and start focusing purely on your line.
The rear seat delete with strut bar and net was another tactical decision. It reduces weight and adds rigidity, clearly defining the car’s intentions. It is no longer a compromise; it is a machine leaning into its best qualities. Even the HKS floor mats signify that in an ATOMIC-SHOP project, every detail is accounted for.
Conclusion: A Clarified Experience
At ATOMIC-SHOP, we didn’t just modify this GR Yaris; we clarified it. We took one of the most charismatic modern performance cars and sharpened its purpose without losing its soul. It is faster and more focused, but most importantly, we have made it more trustworthy at speed and more consistent under pressure.
This build isn't for those who consume cars as social media content. It is for those who actually drive them—properly, hard, and repeatedly.
